When you have to clear off the snow to improve the lie, then it is too cold for golf.

I don't golf, but if I did, I would do it all the time (if I could afford to).

I'm an avid golfer although I hate golfing in the cold weather. When it reaches around december I hang up the clubs and wait till it gets warmer around march. When Clubs are cold, It hurts.

But in the winter time, you don't have to bring ice for the beer!

Too cold to play golf when you have snow bunkers on the course and you're wearing a coat so big you can only make a half swing. And when you have to walk the course just to keep warm bc you should never have to walk!

I won't play when it's below 50 . And when it is near 50 the sun must be out

My opinion is that no weather can put a stop for golf. Iīm from Norway and thats probably why I say this. I have 6-8 months winter every year, and why wait for summer when itīs never there? Strange enough, but itīs only 2 wintergolfcourses in Norway. Here you can put your skis on your foot and your golfbag on your shoulder. With a red shiny golfball, you wont have any trouble seeing it wether itīs on fairway or rough. Just google "winter golf" and youīll see how harmonic winter golf could be. Even though some days are colder than others, but itīs so worth it. Have also heard Iceland got some winter golfcourses too.
